The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning into the home straight involving I Ready, ridden by Reese Holohan, and Eighteenth Smiles, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Eighteenth Smiles had to check momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Celtic Moon (FR), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards fined Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Celestial Orbit (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Black Caviar Gold, trained by P. Twomey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

L.F. Roche, rider of Goldilocks Cen (GB), trained by Archie Watson (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Greydreambeliever, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was awkward leaving the stalls.

W.J. Lee, rider of Black Caviar Gold, trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

P.T. Enright, rider of Queenofthelodge, trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having lost its action.

P. Townend, rider of Soir De Garde (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Gordon Elliott, trainer of Casheldale Lad, to allow his charge to leave the parade ring early and trot to the start. Evidence was heard from Gordon Elliott who stated that his charge can be very keen on the way to the start and he always goes early. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion.

P. Townend, rider of Murcia (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was outpaced throughout.

Joshua Halford, rider of Barbizon, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed that the animal had blood at the nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Murcia (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the back straight involving Tounsivator (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, and Putapoundinthejar, ridden by D. King, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J.Martin, trainer of Putapoundinthejar, in relation to his failure to lodge a "Request To Attend The Start" form and where he also apparently removed the flash noseband from his charge while in attendance at the start. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that the sheep skin nose band had fallen off his charge causing the flash noseband to become loose. He further added that he was unable to get it tightened as the horse left the parade ring so he went to the start and removed it. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed David Casey, Authorised Representative for W.P. Mullins, trainer of Tounsivator (FR),and D. E. Mullins, rider of Tounsivator, where it appeared Tounsivator was repeatedly turned back againest the flow of the other parading horses and circled at the exit gate causing congestion amongest the other runners. Evidence was heard from David Casey who stated that he was unaware that the horse had been turned back as he was with other riders and he further added that both he and all of W. P. Mullins' staff are conversant with the procedures. Evidence was also heard from D. E. Mullins who stated that he had instructed the groom to turn the horse back as he did not want to be late down to the start. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that W. P. Mullins was in breach of Regulation 16, as pursuant to Rule 148, and also D. E. Mullins was in breach of Regulation 16, by not allowing the horse to proceed around the parade ring prior to the signal to mount being given. Having considered W. P. Mullins' record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined W. P. Mullins €500 on this occasion. Having considered D. E. Mullins' record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined D. E. Mullins €500 on this occasion. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. E. Mullins was in breach of Rule 272 (i), by his conduct in directing the groom to turn the horse back and forth across the grass when in close proximity to the crowd when it was already being quite fractious, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined D. E. Mullins €2500 on this occasion.

A.J.Martin, trainer of Putapoundinthejar, alerted the Raceday Stewards, prior to this race, that his charge may become fractious in the parade ring and having become fractious in the pre parade ring and parade ring it was allowed to leave the parade ring early.

B.M. Coen, rider of Jujubella, trained by Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore(in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered in the dip.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Blackjack Hills, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the dip involving Arch Enemy, ridden by S. Coen, Rhythm King, ridden by Reese Holohan, and Jujubella, ridden by B.M. Coen, where it appeared Jujubella ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Coen stated that the horse in front was dropping back and he had to switch out. Reese Holohan stated that he maintained his line. B. M. Coen stated that the horses in front were dropping back and he ran out of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise S. Coen and Reese Holohan to ride with greater care in future.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Macdonagh Park, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount weakened in the straight.

Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Market Square, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced too free.
